Reality Check Foundation Golf Outing A Huge Success

The Reality Check Foundation’s 4th Annual Golf Mentoring Outing was a huge success. 50 kids aged 11 through 18 were mentored by business leaders, a judge, prosecutor and members of Viera East Golf course. RFM (Restoration Fellowship Ministries) a christian school with grades kindergarten through 12 brought 30 kids to have the time of their lives. Yvonne and James Minus from the Melbourne Police Community Relations Council brought kids. One young lady said, “This is the best day of my life ever” that is what this is all about.

Digital camera’s, MP3 players and other prizes were raffled off. Every child received a $10 Wal-Mart gift card. The mentors and volunteers were also in an adult raffle for shirts, free rounds of golf and a 3 day 2 night stay at Hampton Inn and every golf mentor received a free round of golf at Viera East Golf course. A $50 value.

What this mentoring golf outing does is show the teens that people care about them. Dr. Parker the founder and administrator of RFM Academy is a big supporter of the Reality Check Program and our young people.

The Reality Check Foundation would like to give a big thanks to all the generous donors of this amazing event. Without their funds we could never do this. A special thanks goes out to volunteers Donna Zurich, Debbie Cardamone, Mike Deer, Louie Constantino and others who helped out. Without all of them, this event couldn’t happen. Lets not forget Reality Check Foundation board members who attended; Larry Lawton, Joe Reilly, Brian Spatola, and Judge Silverman.
